Our Wedding

We set the date for March 15th 2008. that gave us 3 months to get everything ready. I first set it in my mind that i didn't want a reception, and Brandon felt the same. But everyone was against that idea, so they eventually talked us out of it. So we decided to settle for a small reception held at my Parents home. As we thought of all the people we wanted to invite, it just kept getting bigger and more elaborate. We had our engagement photos taken by Crystal. We ended up going to Mt. Charleston and had them taken in the snow. Crystal also created the invites with my input. We had to fix up our new house, which was Brandons Parents Bret and Tammy's guest house they rented out. we got lucky their renter hadn't been paying, so the apartment was open for us to live. It had a ton of work to be done. we painted all of the walls. ripped up the lamanent foors, Bret and Brandon laid tile. Got new lower cabinents in the kitchen, and new countertops from the company he worked for. and painted the old cabinents. So needless to say this kept us really busy, along with work and schhol. So i guess the planning of our wedding wasn't my first priority. Luckily My mom and Crystal were so willing to dedicate their time to it along with a lil from my other sisters as well. I guess i didn't care much how it looked or how things went. I just wanted to be married.Brandon and i drove to provo, stayed at my friend Tainas house and went shopping all of one saturday to find my dress. we finally found one at the end of the day.. it was plain but we knew between both of our mothers we could jazz it up. Me and my mom found beaded fabric and jewels.. i cut it up and created the deisign and my mom sewed it where i wanted it. The day finally came I woke up early since i already couldn't sleep. helped set up the house and get things ready since the sealing wasn't until .... My mom took me to sephora to get some good make-up, so i ended up doing my own hair and make-up. especially since my hair was to short to do much with. I put my church dress on and headed to brandons to pick him up. We drove to the temple together, and i remember getting hungry on the way so we stopped at 7 eleven for hot dogs. Crystal met us there and took our pictures before the sealing. the weather sadly turned out to be very windy and cold, but we still got some good pictures. we went in the temple to prep for the sealing. i wore my dress for the actual sealing as well. we had lots of famil and friends there to celebrate our special day. I do remember my contact driving me crazy that i could hardly pay attention to our sealer. but thank goodness by the time we stepped up to the alter it was fine. we both teared up a little, i was actually doing fine since i didn't want to ruin my makeup but i saw brandons tears and couldn't help but let them out. i was soo happy to finally be married to him. we took family pictures back at the house and guests arrived shortly after. we had planned on having everyone out back more than anything but because of the weather we were all forced to cram in the house. we stayed at the front door, not planned but everyone kept comming in so it really worked out perfect. there were people walking in up until the last half hour. we had chicken salad sandwiches and other orderves, my aunt Lois made our cake.. wich we didn't even eat. and we had a slideshow on the tv with bata fish in vases swimming around candles for our centerpieces. we quickly changed before we drove away for the honeymoon. and the family decorated the car.
